About US!

Corey is the love of my life, obviously. He is amazing and extremely smart. He can figure ANYTHING out, his mind surprises me every day. He went to Covenant Christian School for a while in high school, he left like the middle of his tenth grade year and home schooled himself. He managed to complete two school years in like about a semester and a half, and graduated a year earlier than he was supposed to. (see I told you my man is smart!) He then started to get his Associate in Arts degree but unfortunately he quit with one class away from completing it. He started his own business like 3 years ago, Geekfoot, he makes websites for people, and he does a pretty darn good job. Geekfoot has slowly turned into Coreypotter.com which is pretty much the same thing. He has been doing a paper route since he was 15…he is crazy! He dislikes it a lot, and so do I because he can never really do anything because of it. He is very involved with photography and is in the process of becoming a professional photographer. He has been assisting a photographer with weddings he loves it! He is amazing at that too. He is just all around great at everything. He is everything I could ask for and way more. My best friend, the love of my life, my world, and my EVERYTHING! He makes me feel like I am the most special person in the world. He makes me so happy and I am more than excited to spend the rest of my life with him.

I promise I have less to say about me than I had to say about him. My name is Ashley duh! I graduated from Richland Northeast High School in 2007. I’m young…as Megan would say I’m a baby. I’ll be 20 this November. I’m a dancer, I started dancing when I was 3, and danced for 15 straight years. I just finished my first and only year at North Greenville University. I loved it there, I’m noticing that more now that I’m not there. I do not plan on returning to any school, but who knows what God has in mind for me. I’m working on getting a full time job. Once we have kids my plan is to be a stay at home mom and home schooling my children. I am fully confident that Corey will provide for our family no matter what he does. I also think God’s plan for me is to be the best wife and mom I can be and I plan to excel in it. Oh! I love Corey more!

We met at church. In November 2001 we went with our church youth group to a conference, the first time we ever talked was on the website for the conference in a chat room. Once I realized who he was I admired him and thought he was the cutest thing. That summer we went on our choir tour and that was the first time we talked in person and became friends. We started dating on July 18, 2002 because of the problems between friends and things we broke up, but stayed good friends we started dating again on April 2, 2003 between September and April we fell in love with each other and that love obviously has grown soo much. We have defiantly had our problems but nobody is perfect. We have both made some bad decisions but things always turn out great in the end. The difficult times we went through only made us stronger and closer. I can promise you one thing we love each other deeply and we will survive through anything because we have been together for almost 6 years and have been through SOO much and we made it through it all and came out loving each other more and more. That’s something that will never change. I have seen a marriage fail and I am determined to not let that happen. I don’t think it is possible for two people as young as we are to love each other as much as we do. Everyday with him is the best day of my life.

We got engaged on September 23, 2007 :), he came to visit me at my school for the weekend. Saturday night we went contra dancing and spent most of the time by the river in a tree just talking. It was soo perfect and romantic. Sunday morning we went on a hike to Raven Cliff Falls, which is the tallest waterfall in SC. Unfortunately there is not an actual trail to the falls but of course that didn’t stop us. We went off the trail climbing on trees and slippery rocks and crossing a river, it was probably the hardest thing I have ever done. Most people were surprised I made it. After a couple hours of some crazy hiking we FINALLY made it. It was absolutely the prettiest thing I have ever seen. We had a picnic in front of the waterfall. Corey swam to cool off. The water was too cold for me. After he swam for a while he came and cuddled with me in front of the waterfall. While we were sitting there I mentioned how beautiful it was and he said “it would be prettier if you were standing in front of it…” so of course I stood up in front of him. He jumped to his knee and I was like “what are you doing, you’re just playing with my head.” I thought he was just playing with my head and i was gonna be soo mad if he was haha the next thing I know I hear “Ashley, will you marry me?” I squealed and leaned down and hugged his head jumping up and down and realized I didn’t say yes, so I stopped jumping just long enough to say yes!
